“The Lost Village” is a 17th-century hamlet in Malaga’s Sierras Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama Natural Park, near Frigiliana. Abandoned in 1950 after the Civil Guard under the Franco regime ordered its evacuation, suspecting residents were aiding anti-Franco rebels. It was completely restored from ruins starting in 1998, without electricity until 2003, transforming it into a picturesque, tranquil village with our favourite restaurant, holiday homes, and immense charm. The village is now a peaceful destination for hikers and tourists, offering a “frozen in time” experience.
